Sites Like Swagbucks But Better

- 8/26/2021

Swagbucks is no dought the leading GPT reward site online. You could make the argument that in some ways it's the best. But at the same time, a number of other reward sites shine brighter in many ways. Below you will find an extensive rundown of all sites like Swagbucks and ways some may be better. This overview will be routinely updated, with reviews, advantages, and disadvantages. Check back now and again to discover new site reviews and data. We will add new sites to the rundown as we find them and compose detailed reviews for everyone.

So what makes a site better than Swagbucks?

There are many factors, but for me personally, it's payment. But there are a few others that we will take a look at that are also very important.

A few important questions to ask to find the best reward site.

  • How easy is it to get cash which is generally preferred over gift cards?
  • How long does it take to receive payment after the request?
  • How easy is it to earn points and how fast?
  • How easy is it to navigate and use the site?
  • How consistent are the earnings?
There are a few other factors that make a good GPT site. Let's start with a list of the pros and cons of Swagbucks to see what criteria they need to meet.

Swagbucks Pros:

  • Many options to earn points.
  • You can earn money doing things that you have already do.
  • Many withdrawal options and gift cards.
  • When you sign up, you will automatically receive Swagbucks.
  • Surveys come with a time estimate.

Swagbucks Cons:

  • The minimum threshold for PayPal is higher than what should be expected at $5.00. (But much better than it once was $25.00)
  • Direct deposit is not possible.
  • Limited mobile options.
  • Search rewards are not very straightforward.
  • Web design can be a bit busy and confusing to navigate.

Variety of Ways to Earn Points

With Swagbucks, you can earn points by shopping, watching videos, searching, playing games, answering survey questions, printing coupons, referrals, and more.

So which sites like Swagbucks also have a lot of options?

InstaGC – You can earn points with surveys and offers just by clicking some websites, searching the internet, and watching videos.

Branded Surveys – You can take surveys, complete deals, and even shop at your local stores.

Gift Hunter Club – They’ve got offerwalls, saily surveys, videos you can watch, tasks, and you can listen to the radio to earn points.

Neither of these sites actually offers as much stuff as Swagbucks, but each has its own unique twist. Videos on InstaGC can be an easy way to earn points. Listening to the radio with Gift Hunter Club is Definitely a Unique Way to Make Money. Sometimes the option for local bargains in Branded Surveys can also be helpful.

Earn by Doing What You Already Do

Swagbucks lets you earn points by searching and buying things on the web, two things you're already doing, right? Here are some websites that help you earn in the very same fashion.

Microsoft Rewards: If you want to get paid to search, you might as well use a decent search engine. The earning appear to have dropped off quite a bit since its days as Bing Rewards. Still, it remains an easy easy way to earn extra cash for something you already do.

Rakuten: Formally known as Ebates gives you money back while you shop, Rakuten is one of the absolute best ways to do it. They've partnered with the most online stores and they offer the best cashback percentages.

Befrugal: Another great cashback site that pays you to shop. They operate in much the same way as Rakuten. Sometimes Befrugal offers better cashback and other times it's the other way around. Other times Swagbucks offers better cash back. I usually just pick the one at the time that is offering the most.

Ibotta: This is a cashback app as well however it works a bit differently. This app works more like using digital coupons really. Only you get the cashback later not at the time of purchase. You add coupons or offers to your account. Go grocery shopping or whatever and scan your receipt and get your money back. Sometimes it can add up quite a bit. My wife does this about every time we go grocery shopping and she saves us a ton of money.

In fact, many websites like Swagbucks offer things like shopping and searching to earn points. However, I don't believe it's a good idea to spread your earnings around too much. Does no good having points or cash chilling in your balance in a multitude of sites because you never reached the minimum withdrawal. I do promote the use of more than one site but don't go too crazy. Make sure whichever site you use that you are more than likely going to reach your withdrawal limit before using it.

Lots of Payout Options & Gift Cards

Surprisingly, not all GPT sites do this well. Some only offer a handful of obscure gift card options. But InstaCG, which literally stands for "Instant Gift Cards," is one of the best. It has everything from Amazon to Zenni Optical.

Signing Up Earns You Points

Lots of great sites like Swagbucks give you free points just for signing up, Branded Surveys gives you a ton of points just for signing up, and it gives you 50 free points when paid through Dwolla.

Surveys with a Time Estimate

This is a great feature, as you know exactly how long it will take to earn points. Right now, most survey sites offer estimates. Branded Surveys and InstaGC explain this to you before you begin.

So that is some really good GPT websites compared to the pros at Swagbucks. However, we want to know how these websites are better than Swagbucks, right? Let's see how they fare against some of the cons.

Swagbuck’s PayPal Minimum is Too High

At one time on Swagbucks, you had to have at least $25.00 worth of points to withdrawal into your PayPal account. That has now been reduced to $5.00 to which I must tip my hat. However, these other sites are still beating them easily.

Even if you're not interested in Paypal you should still be interested in these reward sites. Yes, you can cash out for a $1.00 Amazon gift card but you must use $1.40 worth of points to do so. You can cash out at 3 dollars and not have to pay a penalty for doing so. But in order to get the most bang for your points, you need to wait until you have $25.00 dollars worth of points since that is when they offer a discount on your rewards. The discount is usually around 13%. At face value, this may seem like a nice problem to have. However, the truth is you need that discount given Swagbucks tends to pay somewhat less than some of the top paying sites. So in the end, if you're smart you wait until you have $25.00 worth of points to cash out.

InstaGC – This is the best option when you need cash right now. You can withdraw any amount equal to or greater than $1.00 to your PayPal account. One thing I love about InstaGC is you can literally withdraw any amount over $1.00. For instance, if you had $2.07 in your account you can redeem every penny of the $2.07 to your Paypal account! Paypal as well as almost all of their award transfers are instant as their name implies. The one expectation is bank account transfers which may take a few days. It is also free to do so with no penalty once a month free. Otherwise, they cost 20 points. It’s great for when you’re hard up for money but you have a few bucks sitting in InstaGC.

Gift Hunter Club – Used to receive an Honorable Mention for starting awards at $2 including PayPal. Which was a great low threshold. However, now that has changed to a modest $5.00. Making them now neck and neck with Swagbucks at $5.00 each.

Swagbucks Doesn’t Let You Get Direct Deposit to Your Bank

Sometimes it's better to just get your cash sent directly to your bank so it can be used any way you please. Being forced to depend on gift cards or even Paypal can be a pain. Surprisingly, the website that is all about instant gift cards puts money in the bank too. Yes, InstaCG turns out to be like Swagbucks again, but better, in many ways.

Limited Mobile Options

Yes, Swagbucks has multiple mobile apps but they tend to limit what you can do. Many things are much easier to do on my desktop if at all than mobile and vice versa. I have to give InstaCG props again. The website is much less bloated and easier to navigate as I can do everything I can do on mobile on the desktop version as well. I love that in a reward site.

Swagbucks Has Unreliable Search Payouts

Swagbucks has a weird mechanic where you get random points for searching. Although it may feel random of course it's actually not. Reward points are calculated to give a certain amount of points at certain times. Similar to playing slots, it makes you feel happy from the start and then just wastes your time.

Try Microsoft Rewards if you want consistent search rewards.

Swagbucks Has A Busy Website

Wait, where is my referral link? How do I find offers? When you sign up for Swagbucks, it is too crowded and busy offers they are pushing.

Some alternative reward sites have better-streamlined designs that aren't busy at all. On these sites, it's very clear where you need to go to do what.

Mypoints: Currently is owned by the same company called Prodege that is behind Swagbucks. So as you could imagine the sites are very similar. Both offer many of the same earning opportunities but I would have to say Swagbucks has little more going on. However, Mypoints is much less busy and is a breeze to navigate in comparison.

Inboxdollars: Also is currently owned by Prodege. As you could imagine what I said about Mypoints can also be applied to Inboxdollars as well.

Gift Hunter Club: Your website is clean, cute, and charming. The categories are clear and easy to find.

Branded Surveys: Another example of really great design. Simple to look at, clean, easy to navigate.

InstaGC Honestly, it's not as charming or polished as Gift Hunter Club or Branded Surveys, but the simple design makes it easy to navigate and it's great on mobile.

Tips and Tricks

Like the majority of you, I started out with Swagbucks. While they have a variety of ways to earn points, it's not amazing obviously how to do so. After one uses a range of earning sites, you start to sort out which sites bode well for you and your propensities. For example, if you like music, you can use a site like the GG2U and earn points only to listen to a web-based radio application.

Reward Site Best Practices

  • Signing up for numerous sites can be very vital in maximizing your earnings.
  • Complete daily tasks such as daily polls or surveys.
  • Please clear your browser history and cookies between sites before you take any new surveys.
  • Try not to use a proxy or anything to obscure your IP address, or you will be restricted from taking a few surveys.
  • Please try not to complete similar offers through different sites.
  • Inform your companions about your favorite sites. Most sites have a referral program that can earn you additional cash.
  • Bring in cash doing what you already do, like searching or shopping.
  • Change to Bing Rewards to search and sign in to Swagbucks before you shop online to earn additional points.
  • Cash-out as frequently as possible since these sites tend to shut down routinely!
  • Tip: Turn gift cards into cash by using sites like Giftcard Zen. [Click Here For More Details]
